Shorupan Pirakaspathy is the Founder and CEO of Garage, a platform built to help founders grow their business networks through affiliates, and the creator of The Network Economy podcast, which sets out to decode every network in human history. A blockchain investor and specialist in enterprise blockchain integration, he co-founded Nvest Global Enterprises in 2018, launching Canada’s first retail cryptocurrency financial institution and scaling its operations to more than six countries.

Shorupan Pirakaspathy is the Founder and CEO of Garage and the creator of The Network Economy podcast.
He began his career in structured portfolio management, consulting for and scaling traditional financial firms whose specialisations ranged from the foreign exchange markets to insurance derivatives. As Chief Investment Officer at Toronto-based venture firm Generation Z International, he built one of Canada’s first blockchain investment funds during the market boom of 2016–2017.
In 2018 he co-founded Nvest Global Enterprises and launched Canada’s first retail cryptocurrency financial institution, later scaling it into a provider of blockchain-based banking systems with operations in more than six countries. Through Global X Change, he set out to build the world’s first Exchange Operating System.
Today he is building Garage — a platform that turns software from a tool for managing businesses into an engine for creating and activating business networks — and, through The Network Economy, decoding how networks have shaped every era of human history.
